Data Management

The iWG Data Management is dedicated to the data topic in the Digital Twin Road. In addition to comprehensive data modeling across all projects, approaches to the exchange and storage of data are discussed and implemented accordingly. In order to deal with these topics specifically, the iWG Data Management currently consists of three task forces.

On the one hand, the task force „Data sharing and storage“ defines standards on how the data of all projects should be structured, annotated with metadata and stored centrally. On the other hand, the task forces „Static Data Management“ and „Dynamic Data Management“ are concerned with how to handle the static position and geometry data as well as the dynamic measurement data (real-time data) in the digital twin. The aim of these task forces is to build up a catalog with different data properties and to define guidelines for uniform handling within the overall project.
