Research stay at University of Cambridge in England

During my two-week research stay at the University of Cambridge from Wednesday, 14 May to Tuesday, 27 May 2025, I had the enriching opportunity to engage in in-depth discussions on research collaborations in multifunctional infrastructure materials, particularly for road pavement applications. The visit allowed to connect two forward-thinking initiatives on digital twins for road infrastructure—linking the expertise at Cambridge with developments within the SFB/TRR 339 network at RWTH Aachen and TU Dresden. This interdisciplinary exchange was not only intellectually stimulating but also personally inspiring, reinforcing the value of integrating material science with digital engineering to shape the future of resilient road infrastructure.
